We are a community-based charity (SCIO number SC037397) with the aim of improving the quality of life in and around the Royal Burgh of Selkirk. One of our latest ventures is a CCF-funded project called Sustainable Selkirk. The project will run till March 2022. The goal of Sustainable Selkirk is to encourage people to change the way they use energy at home, commute to work or be more aware of resources they use. We believe that it is important to understand better how we can adapt and mitigate the impact of changes happening to our climate. We hope that everyone will be able to find something of interest to them.
Project Coordinator Iain’s passion for the outdoors sparked his interest in climate issues. His career background is in physical activity coaching, and he’s passionate about helping the planet and our health. He can be spotted walking and cycling around the Borders and the rest of Scotland, and slogging up and down Selkirk’s steep hills on his bike. You can contact Iain by email – firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone – 07838033281.
Kasha Jarosz, our Home Energy Adviser, is very passionate about making our homes cosy, warm and healthy places to live in. She experienced living in cold, damp, hard to heat houses and after completing Level 3 Award in Energy Awareness she is ready to help others to improve energy efficiency of their houses. If you want to discuss any energy-related issues (from how to read your meter to biogas heating systems) just drop her an email – email@example.com or call on 07421995220.
